Oklahoma City’s most versatile architecture, planning and interior design firm.
Of course doing so requires more than simply answering the phones and designing and building structures that look striking and function efficiently.
We purposely avoid developing a signature style to our work. This allows our designs and projects to always be unique and personal in regards to the client, the purpose, and the location.
We also strive to enhance our natural environments by pursuing ecological responsibility and building on the principles of sustainability. We believe that premium design and environmentally-conscious construction should go hand-in-hand.
Our portfolio consists of everything from Health Care Facilities, to OCMAPS for Kids Education Institutions, to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Urban Housing Units. Regardless of the project, we ably transform our clients’ needs into built environments of sustainable architectural design.
Over time, our work has become an integral part of the Oklahoma City landscape with functional, attractive, and recognizable projects springing up throughout OKC.
We consider it our responsibility to beautify, unify, and progress our cities and communities and the people within.
Our location is a symbolic crossroads of yesterday’s values and today’s innovation.
HSEarchitects is nestled on the second floor of the historic Cadillac Building, in the heart of the famed Automobile Alley, at the epicenter of Midtown Oklahoma City, just north of a revitalized Downtown OKC.
On the interior, our expansive office loft is marked with exposed, natural warehouse textures and softened by an open, inviting floor plan. Clients, of course, are always welcome to drop in, whether just to say “hi” or to gather around our I-beam strutted conference table for a fruitful meeting of the minds.
HSEarchitects is an intimate-sized architecture firm made up of the brightest architects, designers, and support staff in the industry.
Principals Larry Herzel, Dan Skaggs and Todd Edmonds combine for more than 70 years of professional experience. Amazingly, they have worked together over the same drafting table for the last 20.
As colleagues under a previous partnership, the trio assumed leadership on January 1, 2005, and the firm effectively became HSEarchitects. From that day, the goal has been to provide clients with the best personal service, attention, and results imaginable. That’s why the HSE team is always a substantial asset to each and every project.

Liberté Boutique Expands Freedom to Choose
Shopping in Classen Curve gets better and better all the time.
From our front porch on Automobile Alley, up to Edmond, down to Norman and everywhere in between, we realize how fortunate we are to have a hand (and steel-toed work boot) in the revitalization and expansion of an awesome Oklahoma City.
For our part, HSEarchitects even finds its way into the news from time to time. Whether it’s for an OCMAPS for Kids project or Block 42, Oklahoma’s first LEED-designed urban-lifestyle housing development, we approach the publicity the same way we approach the project – its a result of hard work, personal service, and engaging design.
