It was Saxum Public Relations President and CEO Renzi Stone’s love for history that led him to envision the old Kirkpatrick Oil building as the future home for his rapidly growing company.
The newly renovated building features industrial-feeling finishes like concrete floors and exposed ductwork, while still paying homage to the mid 20th-century design of the original structure.
Legendary Oklahoma oilman John Kirkpatrick built the brick, one- story building at 1300 N. Broadway Ave. in 1950 as the headquarters for the Kirkpatrick Oil Co. and later donated it to the Oklahoma City Community Foundation. Stone purchased the 6,640-square-foot building from the foundation last year for about $331,000.
